Adam & Mary

The goal is to laugh forever with someone you take serious.
Adam & Mary’s wedding was the culmination of 2 years of determination and hard work. Not only did Mary convert to Judaism, going to school every week and learning Hebrew, but both their moms and a lot of their friends contributed in big ways. Adam’s mom crocheted all the Yarmulke for the boys and Mary’s mom Gail, crocheted the incredibly intricate and beautiful Chuppah. I’ve tried my hand at crocheting before, and to be honest my skill level never got past single stitch squares LOL. So I can only imagine the hours and hours that went into both these projects. The other mind blowing, handmade project, were all 800 origami paper flowers that were used instead of real flowers (all the friends helped with these). The rich jewel like colours and the details are just incredible. It rained cats and dogs on their wedding day and for us living in Cape Town that ‘s truly a blessing at this moment. Even though the planned forest ceremony had to be moved indoors last minute, Mary & Adam couldn’t stop smiling throughout the day and it was truly one of the happiest weddings I’ve been to in a long time.
